Katie Nash
​DVM, MS, DACVECC

Katie Nash graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Queensland, Australia in 2008 and worked in general and emergency specialty practice before completing an Australian rotating internship and moving to Auburn University, Alabama for residency training. She became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in 2017. She then worked in private practice in the US before moving back home to the University of Queensland. She loves working with residents, junior staff members and students and watching them gain knowledge and confidence. She has been actively involved with the Association of Veterinary Hematology and Transfusion Medicine since 2018 and is co-authoring a textbook chapter on transfusion safety for the upcoming 2nd edition of the Manual of Veterinary Transfusion Medicine and Blood Banking. Her clinical interests include transfusion medicine, management of polytrauma, perioperative critical care and mechanical ventilation.
